The Komatsu Elko Service Center is a state-of-the-art industrial and office campus designed to support the construction and mining industries throughout Nevada and the western United States. Located beside an existing Komatsu facility, the new development substantially expands the company’s ability to provide equipment sales, rentals, field support, maintenance, and major repairs for some of the world’s largest earthmoving and mining machines.
The complex was delivered in phases, with an immense shop facility complemented by a two-story office. Purpose-built welding, machine, and construction-equipment shops provide the space and specialized infrastructure required for large-scale fabrication and service work. Sixty-foot clear heights, three 150-ton bridge cranes, 63 welding stations, paint booths, steel lathes, and an advanced smoke-evacuation system allow teams to safely move, repair, and rebuild monumental equipment components within a controlled environment.
Designed around the scale and complexity of modern mining operations, the campus combines heavy industrial capability with efficient administrative and customer-support spaces. The completed facility strengthens Komatsu’s regional service network and provides the capacity, technology, and working environment needed to support the continued development of Elko’s vital mining industry.
