The 2026 Tilt-Up Convention & Expo brought the tilt-up industry to Salt Lake City, putting Utah’s innovation and expertise on a national stage. For Hughes General Contractors, having the convention in our home state made the experience especially meaningful. As a presenting sponsor, we were proud to help welcome industry professionals to Utah and be part of a week celebrating the people, projects and ideas moving tilt-up construction forward.
Held at the Salt Palace Convention Center, the Convention centered on this year’s theme, “Shared Ascent.” Through educational sessions, live demonstrations, project tours and the Expo floor, attendees had opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and experience the continued evolution of tilt-up construction firsthand.
Utah provided a fitting backdrop. The state has become a showcase for architectural tilt-up and the versatility, efficiency and design possibilities the construction method can provide.
The Convention also gave Hughes an opportunity to celebrate another exciting year of project recognition. This year, our TCA award recipients included Sapp Brothers, Wheeler Machinery and the AGC of Utah Training Center, highlighting the range of projects and possibilities made possible through tilt-up construction.
More than anything, the 2026 Tilt-Up Convention & Expo was a chance to bring the industry together in our own backyard. We were proud to help welcome the tilt-up community to Utah, celebrate the work happening here and share in the ideas shaping what comes next.
