Willow Creek Park creates a versatile recreation destination in the Snyderville Basin, bringing together active play, organized sports, community gathering spaces, and trail connections. The park includes a playground, restroom building, large pavilion, maintenance building, three multipurpose playing fields, volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts, and a network of trails.
Water conservation was central to the park’s design. Its irrigation system uses existing secondary water and runoff rather than drawing from the county’s culinary water supply, responding to growing water demands associated with continued residential and commercial development. The playing fields were laser graded to create consistent slopes and support effective drainage across each surface.
The park’s vertical structures reflect the surrounding Rocky Mountain setting through board-and-batten siding, Corten steel roofing, and substantial timber construction. Large structural timbers define the pavilion roof and supports, giving the gathering space a durable, regionally inspired character that complements the natural landscape.
