The nearly 51,000-square-foot facility pairs brick veneer and small-town architectural character with a modern shopping environment designed to serve the everyday needs of the surrounding community.

Inside, the store brings together a scratch bakery, service deli, fresh meat and produce departments, pharmacy, organic and specialty products, and other convenient services under one roof. Hughes also helped build community support for the project, contributing to a successful opening that delivered the hometown grocery experience Kent’s Market is known for.

A defining feature is the store’s 34,000-square-foot MagicSlab™ concrete floor—the first use of the patented system in a retail setting. Installed as one continuous pour without a single saw-cut joint, the smooth, durable floor reduces maintenance demands while creating a clean, uninterrupted surface for customers, carts, and store operations.
