Farmington City Hall is a 19,300-square-foot civic building designed to reflect the character of the city’s historic core while providing a welcoming setting for municipal services and community engagement. Its two-story wood-frame construction, horizontal shiplap siding, and brick veneer create a timeless exterior that feels at home within the surrounding neighborhood.
Several elevations feature dramatic two-story glass curtain walls that fill the interior with natural light and frame expansive views of the nearby Wasatch Mountains. Steeply pitched roofs rise 55 feet above the building, while a central cupola extends an additional 15 feet to create a prominent silhouette and recognizable civic presence.
Hughes also coordinated construction activities with an adjacent school project and city crews, helping align work across the shared area and identify efficiencies for both the city and school district. The completed building combines traditional materials, contemporary transparency, and thoughtful collaboration to create an enduring center for Farmington’s civic life.
