Health & Wellness CHALLENGE 2024

JANUARY 26th - MARCH 15th

Our fun and friendly competition is designed to drive healthy behaviors and supercharge employee engagement.

Use the examples below to help you recognize healthy exercises you can implement in your life to live a better life and earn points to win prizes at the Health Fair.

Physical Exercises

• Lose 1 Pound or 1 inch

• Workout for 30 min

• Don’t drink any soda/pop

• Stretch for 15 minutes

• Go for a Bike Ride

• Bring a water bottle to work and drink it all

• Take a healthy selfie doing something health related

• Spend 20 minutes in the sun

• Write down how many calories you eat a day or download a calorie counting app

• Meet with a fitness coach or physical trainer

 

Mental Exercises

• Watch What Happens if You Get 1% Better Every Day? By James Clear on youtube

• Download Impact Suite (Ask HR or see the poster in your job site trailer)

• Attend an Impact Suite Info Session

• Meditate or do yoga for 15 min

• Go to bed at the same time for 4 days in a row

• Say one positive thing about yourself out loud

• Read for 15 minutes

• No screens 30 min before bed

• Try out a new hobby

• Write down 2 things you are grateful for

Social Exercises

• Explore a new place with friends, family, co-workers

• Talk to a new person at work or reach out to those you don’t talk to often

• Perform a random act of kindness

• Participate in a service project

• Bring a treat to a neighbor

• Invite a friend out for a walk, ride, or a meal

• Call someone you haven’t seen in a white

• Say I love you out loud or in writing to another person

• Smile and say hello to five people using their name

• Put your phone away when talking with someone

Financial Exercises

• Save an additional $25 on top of what you normally save

• Bring your homemade lunch to work

• Have a meeting with a financial advisor

• Begin the Dave Ramsey Baby Steps

• Go on a date or family activity that is free

• Make a grocery list before you go shopping and only buy what is on your list

• Start an emergency fund

• Walk away from a purchase you want, but don’t need

• Write down a monthly budget or download a budgeting app

• Ask friends or family to borrow something rather than buy it
