Originally constructed as Tooele Applied Technology College, the 66,750-square-foot facility established a permanent home for career and technical education in Tooele County. Located on an 8.43-acre site adjacent to Utah State University’s Tooele campus, the building opened in 2013 and brought specialized instruction, student services, and community resources together in one accessible learning environment.

The campus was designed around the practical ways students learn and prepare for employment. Classrooms and training areas supported healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, business, and service-industry programs, while additional spaces accommodated community workshops, counseling, placement services, administration, and shared higher-education resources.

Now known as Tooele Technical College, the school continues to provide competency-based, affordable career preparation for high school students and adults. Hands-on instruction, industry-recognized certificates, career services, and employer-aligned programs help students move confidently from the classroom into Utah’s workforce. The original campus created an important foundation for that mission—strengthening local industries, expanding educational opportunity, and opening pathways to meaningful careers.
