Hughes General Contractors Inc. is the legacy of Herm Hughes who founded the company in 1951 by purchasing the assets from his brothers and subsequently incorporating in 1958. He and his successors have operated with a set of core values that have sustained and grown the company into the first-class contractor it is today. These principles are:

In 1964 Glenn E. Hughes, Herm’s son, took the helm and continued to grow the company from a small residential builder to one of Utah’s largest and most innovative contractors utilizing these same values and high standards.

Today, the third generation of Hughes’ embraces the philosophy of their predecessors as they continue in the leadership of this multifaceted company. Under their direction, Hughes has experienced steady growth unprecedented in the history of the company. This growth is primarily the result of a substantial client base of repeat customers. These customers know that Hughes will deliver a high quality project, on-time and in budget.
